I. General
1. No, you can't have admin. Or mod, for that matter. We give out staff positions as we see fit. Please don't PM us with requests.
2. No spam is tolerated. Any posts that deviate too far from the topic at hand are considered spam. Just start a new thread if it gets out of hand-- we don't bite. We promise. Well, not that hard, anyways.
3. Love thy neighbor. Share ideas and give a helping hand as you see fit. This world is yours.
4. Don't be obnoxious. Flashy GIF signatures and rainbow-vomit-colored text posts are annoying. Don't do it.
5. Spellcheck. It's not that hard. You have Internet. Google it if you're not sure. And please, please, please use proper grammar.
6. No vigilante justice. PM a modmin-- don't try to hammer someone out yourself. We'll always listen, so don't hesitate to hit us up.
7. Don't argue. While discussion and friendly debate are always welcome, anything too violent will be dealt with by staff.
8. Don't hate. Slurs/comments demeaning any person/group of people will not be tolerated. Seriously.
9. Critique - Don't criticize. If you don't have all rainbows and happiness to post, suggests improvements for the problem.
II. Out-of-Character
1. Don't start other roleplays. I know, I know. This is a roleplaying site. But it just clogs up the board, so we recommend using one of the many other boards available for the purpose of playing out your every text-based whim.
2. Make sure it hasn't been done. We don't need fifteen 'chain story' boards in the OOC. One's enough.
3. Don't creep. Don't make people uncomfortable by pestering them about their IRL lives.
4. Don't get too negative. It's never fun to listen to every single person on the board complaining about everything, ever.
5. Nothing stupid/pointless. While this is really at the mods' or members' discretion, try to use common sense. No one reads threads about navel fuzz.
6. Don't overlap IC and OOC. It's just a game. Don't hold real grudges against fantasy people.
7. Absences. Let us know if you're leaving - don't just up and disappear.
II. In-Character
1. Know what you're talking about! Read up on lore and the rules of the world.
2. Approach other people. Don't sit around and wait for other characters to come to you; it's always easier for you to interact.
3. You control your characters. Read up on Stoicism. You can only control your own characters, and it's entirely up to others to post as their own creations - you can't change what they do. That's the fun of RP.
4. Don't overlap OOC with IC. Never let your characters embody you. They're always their own people. If your day sucked, don't let that show through your character's actions; instead, use it as a chance to escape life and have a little fun.
5. Stay true to the real world. While this is a fantasy RP, try to keep it as realistic as possible. No, dragons don't exist.
6. You can't win every battle. Let your characters fail every once in a while. It makes them more interesting as people.
7. Feel free to grab the reins. Take charge of the plot. This world is of your making. Make it more interesting!
8. Try not to abandon things. If you can't continue an RP thread, let people know instead of just abandoning it. Clean up after yourself.
